The highly anticipated World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion is introducing four new Major Factions for players to gain Renown for earning rewards, but many people may be wondering who the Dragonscale Expedition, Iskaara Tuskarr, Maruuk Centaur, and Valdrakken Accord actually are. These Dragonflight factions are found within the secluded Dragon Isles and are friends with both the Alliance and Horde NPCs - and players helping the Dragon Aspects. In fact, the Dragonscale Expedition is actually made up of the Alliance and Horde working together. Ultimately, players may even find some unique endgame content locked behind the Renown ranks for each of these factions in WoW: Dragonflight.
Instead of reputation, Dragonflight introduces a better system of Renown for players to grow closer to each of the four Major Factions of the Dragon Isles. Each WoW: Dragonflight faction has its own sort of theme that players can engage with such as hunting with the Shikaar Clan of the Maruuk Centaar or sharing in a community feast event with the Iskaara Tuskarrr. As the dragons are returning to the Dragon Isles, these factions will be key to assisting the dragonflights in protecting Azeroth.

WoW's Valdrakken Accord Reigns Within The Capital Of The Dragon Isles
Within Thaldraszus is the capital city of all the Dragon Isles, Valdrakken. It is a beautiful city and the central hub for the Valdrakken Accord. The Valdrakken Accord was formed long ago by the unified assembly of dragonkind seeking to protect their home and all of Azeroth. It is a group that represents the might of all five of the Dragonflights and has representatives of each. The ultimate and foundational goal of the Accord is to assist the dragonflights in protecting Azeroth. Now that the dragons are returning to resume their role as protectors, the Valdrakken Accord is a central focus of exciting changes affecting WoW: Dragonflight and its lore.
For players wishing to aid the Accord, they will have access to the Siege on Dragonbane Keep event where players help a Drakonid faction regain access to their ancient home, as well as access to many more Dragonriding World Quests. Earning Renown with this WoW: Dragonflight faction also unlocks special dragon-themed transmogs for weapons and clothes.
Hunting With WoW: Dragonflight's Maruuk Centaur Clans Bring Rewards
Ohn'ahran Plains is the home to the Maruuk Centaur clans who roam the area seeking the thrill of the hunt. Led by the Wild God of the Wind, these clans all share one culture as hunters and nomads, and together they form one of the Major Factions in WoW: Dragonflight. If players can earn the respect of the clans, then they can join in Grand Hunts to take down beasts, elementals, and more.

Players earning reputation with the Maruuk Centaur can look forward to unlocking battle pets, toys, a title, and even a special questline where eventually they can obtain the rare World of Warcraft mount Lizi's Reins. Lizi is, in fact, a large Thunderspine Tramper on a personal quest to eat all the fruit in Azeroth.
The Iskaara Tuskarr Offer A Hygge Experience Within Dragonflight
Similar in many ways to the Tuskarr of Northrend, the Iskaara Tuskarr have lived for countless generations on the Dragon Isles' coldest corners and have befriended loa of the regions. They are a friendly and relaxed group, welcoming to outsiders, and will provide players with knowledge of fishing in the Dragon Isles as well as lots of food at Community Feasts.
Just as their Northrend relatives do, the Iskaara Tuskarr love to share stories and are generally very kind-hearted and generous. Rewards for reaching higher Renown levels with this faction will give access to Tuskarr-themed transmogs, Community Feasts which offer buffs, and will also teach players a lot of mechanics to improve the Fishing profession, which has recently been part of WoW: Dragonflight's Professions system revamp.
WoW's Alliance & Horde Join Forces To Form The Dragonscale Expedition
The Dragonscale Expedition is actually the first of the Major Factions in WoW: Dragonflight. Unlike the other factions, the Dragonscale Expedition has not been on the Dragon Isles previously and is actually made up of the Explorer's League from the Alliance and the Reliquary from the Horde. They have come to the Dragon Isles together and are working to explore and uncover the secrets of the land.

Players will want to earn Renown with the Dragonscale Expedition for many reasons, but especially because they uncover an ancient travel network of Waygates scattered throughout the Dragon Isles. Also, there appears to be treasure hidden throughout the land and players will get better tools to search out and dig up these buried treasures as their Renown levels increase.
The Tuskarr Are The Best Faction In WoW: Dragonflight
Joining a Major Faction in WoW: Dragonflight is a personal choice, and they all offer amazing rewards and fun lore and stories to follow. However, the best Renown rewards in WoW: Dragonflight come from the Iskaara Tuskarr. The huge additions to the Fishing profession (including the placement of fishing nets to automatically catch fish over time), nineteen profession recipes, nine Dragonriding customizations, seven toys, at least two battle pets, four mounts with more possible, and over 47 cosmetic transmogs all make it worthwhile - and it's all in addition to the Community Feast events which offer potent food buffs and other rewards weekly.
WoW: Dragonflight's four Major Factions of the Dragon Isles are strikingly different from each other and provide color and story to the various areas as players make their way across this new land. Increasing Renown within these factions will unlock rewards as well as additional storylines within the expansion as a whole. Characters entering the new WoW: Dragonflight expansion's Dragon Isles will want to cozy up to each of these groups, and maybe even listen to some of their stories over a bowl of Iskaara soup.
