When i arrived here with my on sat it wasnt much from the outside but when we went inside we were greeted by the owner who was very pleasant and taken to a table the restaurant was dark but not too dark and there was pleasant music playing the waitress service was top notch very attentive. The food was served to us within ten minutes piping hot and delicious best chinese meal weve had in a long time yum yum.Everything was very clean and the price was very reasonable for what we ordered. The only downside was the hen party behind us burping and passing wind, singing and swearing it was quite off puting when ur eating but thats not the oceans fault.top marks for this restaurant will definately come back here and tell all my friends about it.

We found this restaurant by accident, after our first choice had an hour long wait for a table. We walked right in and were seated immediately. Our drink orders were placed while we decided what to order. We had to wait a long time before someone came back to take our order. It seemed that each employee had a specific job and they did that for each table, rather than assigning a waiter for each table to handle all of our needs. The food was excellent - we started with Lettuce Wraps. Then our mains were Chicken with Pineapple, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Chicken (with chili). All 3 were delicious, especially the chicken dish with chili if you like spicy food!I can't say enough good things about the food. Would have given a 5-star rating if the staff had been more attentive after we were seated.

A lovely Chinese restaurant, popular with locals and visitors alike. Many visitors return every time they visit Blackpool. An extensive menu and a decent wine list, with the ever popular Tiger beer available as well as soft drinks and spirits. The seating area is spacious, with 2 large circular tables, ideal for large groups. The banquets are lovely with lots of food provided. My only criticism would be that the dining area is a little on the gloomy side, but the food more than makes up for that. The toilets are upstairs, so bear that in mind if you struggle with stairs. Well worth a visit if you are in Blackpool.

IT'S not in the most salubriousof settings, facing boarded-upshops on Blackpool's TalbotRoad, but it's certainly adiamond in the rough.Ocean Palace has been therefor as long as I can remember, surviving the sweeping changesthat have taken this part of townfrom a bustling shopping street toa haven of after-hours takeawaysand drinking dens stretching fromDickson Road to the Promenade.I'd never eaten there in all thoseyears, but was vaguely aware therewas a reputable Chinese restaurantalong that stretch of a road thatgoes all the way to Layton; I couldpicture its exterior, but had neverhad occasion to go inside. We parked on nearby Queen Streetand walked around the corner, (pastCave's Corner that must also havebeen there for decades), negotiatingthrough the night owls on their wayto other town centre venues on thismidweek night; we were a stone'sthrow from scores of them andanother evening was just beginning.Even at the Ocean Palace, severaltables were taken as diners tookadvantage of the Monday toThursday three-course special at£10.95. It was an excellent deal but,not being a chicken and sweetcornsoup fan, I perused the main menuand we chose three starters spareribs in salt and chilli, sesame prawnson toast and satay chicken skewers,to share in the middle of the table. There were three of us, I hastento add... and our choices wereperfectly divisible by three afortunate outcome as they all arrivedpiping hot and delicious andnobody was sitting back.Service was swift and sensible.Enough, but not too much. Havingsomething, I'm told, of an ice fetish,I asked for a litre bottle of sparklingwater and a large glass full of ice. That request, while always carefullyenunciated, usually results in smallglass, two cubes. Not here. Theyearned extra points when I got asecond full glass when I addedanother bottle to the order. It's the small things that matter, isn't it. Chicken skewers are prettyuniversal but listening isn't and itcan mean such a lot when the wholepoint of an evening out is to relaxand let others do the bidding. Our mains arrived and the meatdishes were by tradition kept warmon a hotplate in the middle of thetable. My crispy shredded beefwas the best anywhere I'd orderedit and I claimed the trophy for thebest choice. My friends went for thescene stealing kung po chicken ina crispy bird's nest (she always wasa bit of a theatrical) and the OceanPalace special chow mein which, when it first arrived, had us thinkingfor a second there had been someconfusion and it was for two.Chicken, beef, pork and kingprawns all cooked to perfectionand served over a bed of crispynoodles. Our separately served riceand noodles just made us appearway more delicate, but our portionswere equally ample and, again, piping hot.Special banquets start at £16.95 ahead, up to £23.95 to include thecrispy duck course and a vast arrayof mains. There is also the usuallist of everything Chinese, with aCantonese twist, from chicken andbeef to seafood and sizzling plates.I noted one commenter on theinternet made special mention ofhow hot all the food was served;essential, in my opinion, but a detailthat frequently is overlooked. Andanother, that our servers saw usright to the door to bid us a friendlyfarewell and not before we wereready to leave, either! Our bill came to £79.95 of whichfood was £54.20, the rest assortedglasses of wine and bottled water.I'm told the theatre crowd arefrequent visitors here, on stage aswell as off and I can see why. Butto survive this long while otherscome and go takes more than afew special guests in the season. It takes a consistency of quality, creating a solid, repeat year-roundclientele and it's all in sparklingevidence here.

What a hidden gem, went in on a Saturday night and the host soon got us a table. The prawn roast is the best I have ever tasted. The tastes of all the dishes was 100 percent perfect with such flavours. The meat was so soft. Will definitely recommend this place a thousand times over thank you 😊

We arrived on the chance we'd be seated but it was already busy. The restaurant asked us to wait though and our party of 7 could then be accommodated. This place never disappoints, it's been a while since we were here last and it's better than we remember it. The kids absolutely loved eating the food as did we. The service was excellent, accommodating, professional yet caring.A truly wonderful place, but I recommend booking. The toilets here were super clean which I think speaks volumes of any establishment.Well done to the team at Ocean Palace. You made us feel very welcome, thanks from all of us.

I visited Monday 29th (Bank Holiday), the place was reasonably busy but the two young lads greeted me in a friendly manner and found me a table! The service was friendly throughout. I often order ribs starters when visiting restaurants and these were a very good example (as you can see from my pictures 😄) Chicken Satay is another on of my regular orders when dining out! I really enjoyed the Satay here. The fact that stir fried veg was an option instead of just the usual chips, rice or noddles was good for me too! Price was very acceptable too.
