A compromised or illegally accessed online or electronic account is described as "a hacked account". A compromised account indicates unauthorized access to its data, resources, or information. If you suspect that your Trust Wallet has been compromised and that unauthorized transactions have taken place, you must act immediately:
• Create a New Wallet: As a first step, quickly create a new wallet and transfer all of your coins to it if the attacker hasn't already, delete the first one. • Change Login Information and Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Change your login credentials as soon as possible and enable 2FA to prevent unauthorized access to your wallet.
• Contact the following law enforcement agencies: Report the incident to the police if you intend to take legal action to recover your stolen funds.
• Examine all devices that you use to access your wallet for signs of malware. Crypto-stealing malware is a popular way for cybercriminals to compromise wallets.
• Keep a close eye on your bank account and credit card statements for any unauthorized transactions. • Report to Crypto Exchanges: If you notice the attacker attempting to transfer funds from your wallet to a cryptocurrency exchange, report it to the appropriate exchanges. Many exchanges have Know Your Customer (KYC) processes in place, which could aid in the identification of the thief.
