FDR Home & Library National HistoricSite
The home of FDR was an estate located in Hyde Park, NYoverlooking the Hudson River. "Springwood" was PresidentRoosevelt's birthplace and lifelong residence. The interior isfurnished exactly as it was when FDR died. Roosevelt's graveand that of Anna Eleanor Roosevelt (his wife) are in the rosegarden.
Need to Know:
The Camp Sagamore walking tour takes approximately 1/3 of amile over very gently sloping paved and flattened paths. Thatdistance is cumulative--there are many places to stop, sit,stand and rest along the way. Golf carts are available that cantransport folks with significant mobility issues. Forindividuals who opt not to take the tour at all, there are PBSdocumentaries that can be viewed in gift shop theater.
